Friends Forever - Retro Sketch #103

Another week means another sketch from Retro Sketch. This weeks challenge is Sketch  #103 and is for a tag layout. 

I really enjoyed playing around with the tag as i am not usually one into tags. I started by making my background using Distress Paints and Glimmer Mist, then added some Dylusion around the edge. I really love the white Dylusion as it stays white, no matter what colour you put it over.

Then i embellished with scraps let from other cards and pages. I loved the way the paints blended and the Glimmer Mist added a beautiful metallic shine to the backing.

Scrap Around The World - Febuary 2014 Mood Board

Once again I am giving another challenge a try. This time it is Scrap Around The World Mood Board for February 2014. I love the idea of using a mood board for inspiration and to see what elements that stood out for me.

The inspiration for my page came from a few different elements from this mood board. The first was the beautiful purple/pink tones (i'm not usually on for pinks, even though I do have a girl). I also loved the gold chevrons and washed out look of the paints.

Back again... 

I am back with another challenge from the Retro Sketches Blog. This time i have gone for a more Valentines Day theme using there Sketch #102.

I am really loving this card making once a week as usually i don't to make cards and then if i do it's 15minutes before we have to give it to the person (I'm a little slack...)

Best Father - Retro Sketches #101

Hi everyone, Since I haven't posted anything on here for a while and it was a New Year I thought I would start of this year with a design challenge from a great site that I have been following for a while.  The site is Retro Sketches and they hold weekly challenges for card designs.  As I have never done a challenge before I thought this would be a fun one to start with. The sketch is #101 which can be found here!

I really liked this Sketch as it was a simply and fun design. Being that I love Kaiser Crafts Garage Days range and there 6.5" pad so much I thought it would be a excuse to use it! I hope you like my take on this lovely sketch. Thanks :-)
